Gridspace
Bid

Bid on storage work that's already been screened.

Every site on Gridspace has passed grid, safety, and zoning checks before it reaches you. No more quoting jobs that die in permitting.

Pre-qualified sites.

Hosting capacity confirmed, fire access verified, zoning cleared. We publish the constraint report with the bid package.

Scoped, not vague.

System sizing comes from our partner Storlytics. You are quoting against a defined envelope, not a napkin.

You see the money.

Bid packages show the raise status and funding source. You'll know whether the project is capitalized before you spend an evening on takeoffs.

Questions contractors actually ask

Is there a fee to bid?

No. Creating a profile, getting verified, downloading packages, and submitting bids are all free.

How is the winner chosen?

By the project sponsor, against the published requirements — price, schedule, qualifications, and references. Every bidder gets a decision and the anonymized range.

Who holds the contract — Gridspace or the project entity?

The project entity. Gridspace runs the bid process and the marketplace; your contract is with the project company named in the package.

What insurance do I need?

Each package states its required limits (GL, auto, workers' comp, umbrella). Your certificate of insurance is part of verification, and a lapsed COI blocks new bids automatically.

Can I bid outside my home state?

Yes, if you hold the licenses the package requires in that jurisdiction. Your profile tracks licenses by state.

How do I get paid?

Per the milestone schedule in your contract with the project entity. Payment status is tracked on your dashboard once you're awarded work.

What if the project doesn't get funded?

You are not paid for an unfunded project. That's why we publish funding status on every package before you bid.
